First go around with Mites.
I can only assume it was from a trip to the local reptile expo. Was checking on the snakes Friday night and got to the last one and she was covered in mites. That was fast. Didn't see anything a couple days before. Moved back a tub and took a closer look and saw a couple. Back one more and had to look real close but they were there too.
Fantastic.
Got up Saturday morning and ran to the local pet shop. Picked up a can of PAM and bottle of reptile spray.
Pulled each tub and washed with hot soapy water. While that was happening I placed each snake in a smaller container and sprayed with the reptile spray and let sit for a little bit. I rinsed a couple off but reread the directions and it didn't say to do that so the rest I just left alone. All water bowls have gone through the dishwasher. After all of the tubs were out and treated I put paper towel done as a substrate and placed each snake back in their tub. Stacked them all in a different room while I went through and treated the rack and surrounding area with PAM. After the room aired out I put everyone back in the rack with their washed and treated hides.
This morning I went down to replace all of their water bowls. Lots of black specks on the towels.
Some of the black specs are moving. Well, not anymore, but they were. :)
I know I need to repeat this process every couple days for the next few weeks. Does that include the PAM? I thought I read that that was every 2 weeks?
So Monday I am going to remove the water. Toss all the paper towel. Treat them again with the reptile spray. Rewash the hides. Replace the snakes. If I rewash all the tubs I would need to do the PAM again so I will wait on that.
Does this sound about right?
What a pain.
Re: First go around with Mites.
Not every couple of days, every two weeks.
Depending on the severity one treatment can be enough but a second treatment is not a bad idea if the infestation is severe.

2 weeks on the reptile spray too? Sorry to ask. Just want to make sure I do this right.
Re: First go around with Mites.
The Reptile Relief / Reptile Spray can be re-applied every three days, it should be on the directions for it. The product is a solution of salts rather than an insecticide. It kills mites by dehydrating them. Unfortunately it's really only effective when wet. Also, it will dry out your snake's skin so expect their next few sheds to be bad.

Sounds good. Thank you for the help. I'll get some paper towel pretreated.
