    Probe directly on UTH
Would a probe and wire between a uth and tub melt? Was planning on putting the probe on bottom outside of tub and then sticking the uth on which will sandwhich the probe n wire between it and the tub. I'm pretty sure it would be OK but don't want to melt the wire. Maybe put foil tape over the wire?

That is the way it is supposed to be set, directly secure on the heat source.

Ok so no need to put foil tape on the wire at all?

Use tape to secure the wire to the heat mat (don't place tape on the probe itself), but the wire does not need protection from the heat. If it is hot enough to melt the wire, your animal will not be very happy.

It's going to be set in the low 90's. Nothing melts at such low temperature, except like... Ice and ice cream lol.

I mean it gets that hot outside pretty regularly.

Place probe between like you said and use the Metal tape to secure the UTH to tank/ enclosure bottom as shown & explaind under Sub Topic- Husbandry: Sticky : Setup glass enclosure.

When your hands are warm, they're about 95~99 degrees. If your hands can't melt plastic, no need to worry! LOL
