You seen this? Taking the internet by storm. Just saw it on the Today Show this morning too. Not surprising that it's Justin. Grats to him.

Love my coworker LITERALLY just ran up to me with her phone to show me. Of course I saw the video Justin posted when it hatched because I've been following his channel for years, so I could tell her who what when and where lol. I'm glad it's getting so much attention, but I do hope they're remembering to credit Justin for producing it.

Yeah, I'm really torn here. It honestly doesn't do much for me but I'm really glad it's bringing some publicity to our otherwise not so public hobby

Yeah, doesn't do much for me either other than the genes involved. If the traits are not inheritable (the smiley face) I don't have a use for them. Now if I was a person that just wanted a very unique pet this would be the ticket. I need to produce a normal with Jesus on it. A $20 animal that would sell for big$$$$ and get lots of publicity.LOL

I saw it on the today show as well. It's pretty cool. They did show Justin's name during the clip. Only thing I didn't like was that they said it was a python. Not that it was a ball python. As if to imply that it might be something more to it. Unless I missed something.

Most people have no idea that there are different species of pythons. That's how you get well meaning individuals helpfully suggesting you should rehome your snake before it grows 20 feet long and eats you. Well, that and the 'it grows to the size of it's enclosure' myth which... is there any animal for which that is true?

Re: the faces being heritable: I don't know about Justin's snake, but I think it was Brian Gundy that was trying to breed a line of pumpkin pieds where the face pattern popped up more often? I might have the breeder wrong, but there was someone out there actually trying to line breed for that.
