Synchronus shedding
For all of you with mutiple species, have you noticed that everyone goes into shed at about the same time?
I keep 3 species that aren't even in the same part of the house, yet go into shed at just about the same time.
Adam, what about a place with a roomful? Do you see synchronus shedding or is this a big coincidence?
Thanks all,
Ken

Re: Synchronus shedding
My Lampropeltis all seem to be very close on their shed schedule but my Ball Pythons are on a completely different schedule of their own. Maybe it has to do with the geographic location........?

Re: Synchronus shedding
My personal collection is all out of synch. This week my male kenyan is shedding, two days ago my cali king shed, three days ago, my female blood. The male blood hasn't shed in a month, my female kenyan hasn't shed in at least a month. My black king shed about 3 weeks ago, and my hogg island boa shed about 2-3 weeks ago.
So.. no. But I often notice all of the big snakes at work shedding at the same basic time. Usually within the same week.

Re: Synchronus shedding
MY BPs used to be in complete synch when they shed. Now they are not really; kind of, since it seems like they shed within a couple of weeks. My boa is the oddball. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I feed them all on the same day..

I think it's just coincidence. My animals are all different ages, sexs, sizes, and individual feeders.
A group of similarly aged animals, of similar size and appetite, fed on the same schedule, might have a tendency to shed together at times, but it's more luck of the draw than anything else.
