    Breeding ball python
In August of this year, I will have had my ball python for exactly one year. I was considering setting up a tank and purchasing some piranha's. I've decided not to and now I have come up with the idea of breeding my ball python. I know it is probably more difficult then I think, but I would like to give it a try. I have a female ball python and like I said she will be a year in August. She is housed in a Boaphile 421D cage. It has the built in heating pad and everything. She has a warm side and a cold side, each have their own hide. I've got a log in there which she can hide under along with a fake plant. The temperature and humidity is monitored by a device I purchase at home depot. Humidity and temperatures are always pretty much what they are suppose to be at.

Anyways, my question. How do I go about breeding my ball python? Do I need to purchase anything? Are there any good guides? Thanks.

You should start with a copy of "The Ball Python Manual" ... it's commonly available in many bookstores and on Amazon.com for less than $10.

I have that and I have read through it. I've been told my ball python is not old enough to breed, is this true?

Breeders use a combination of age and weight to determin if its even worth trying to breed. Related info should be covered in the book, this website, or others on the net.
