    Hatchling hides
I needed some more hides and was pleased to see the dollar store changed from the rectangular to an oval shape for their smallest baskets. They come in a 4 pack or some stores have bonus 5 packs for a dollar so price can't be beat. I prefer these over flower pot saucers since it gives a little more room for growth without turning into a snake hate after a month.

Cut off bottom ring about handle area. I like to cut my door off to the side so there's more privacy inside.

I go through a lot since I give the new owner the hide along with the baby if we're meeting locally. I feel it really helps give them some normalcy and security in their new set up especially if they're going from a rack to a tank. Just wanted to share my cheap find.

Those actually look pretty good and at a reasonable price. I may give these a shot. I am very thrifty in this area, but I definitely do not look professional. Most of my hides started life as garbage. I use yogurt cups for hatchlings. They then move to those dark plastic containers that you can get lunch in at Publics. Next step is the bottom of a milk jug. Once they are past that most of the time they don't need the hide in a tub. The few I have that insist on being that confined as adults use modified cat litter boxes.
