I now understand the love of Retics and Burmese
So yesterday I went to South Beach Miami and I happened to run into 3 different people walking around with their snakes and charging people for pictures.

I've only seen pictures of Retics and Burmese's on here so seeing one in real life was very cool.

I had to get a picture of course and when the owner placed it around my neck I must say I respected the power but also glad I had the knowledge and rookie experience of handling a snake since I have a ball python.

After holding it, got home and picked up my little BP all I could do was laugh. Looks like a chump compared to larger snakes lmao

I never though I would want a snake that big, but man, that was a great experience.

Can't go on Burmese and Retic level with you. But just recently got a baby red tail boa that is the same size as my 3 month old enchi bp. Gotta love the big guys

I have all three Retics , Burm and Royal ( plus Boas and others lol ). Thing I noticed is they're all so different but Id never say one was better than any of the others like some do and just solely keep one species ...

After reading through your first post I was expecting to see a massive 13 foot wrapped around you :)
I have a Corn snake that size :)

They are awesome, I love my big 12ft girl, she's amazing.
that one is still pretty small but definitely different from a bp for sure

Psh, that snake is smaller than my dumeril's boa! :P

It's always awesome to hold a larger snake than you're used to, whatever the size is. It's a feeling that's hard to describe LOL. Female ball pythons sometimes grow to around that size of your snake in the pic though. So if you have a female BP, you'll be happy!

How is it handling 6+ feet snakes on the regular? I'm sure sometimes it can be a hassle at times lol I occasionally can't get my BP to go where I want her such as back in her tank. Where the head goes the body follows

I totally understand where you're coming from! I find it amazing to hold the big guys. I had the front end of a green anaconda around my shoulders while my bf, my sister, and her bf held the body and back end of the large snake! This was at a Sacramento Reptile show like two years back. It was such a great experience! I learned so much during the show. If I had the means and the space, I would definitely get a larger snake. But since I dont, I'll stick with my cornsnakes and bp. [emoji13]
