What substrate do you have?

What's up everyone I recently got a ball python again! I picked up a 180gram Female Butter Enchi! In her enclosure I have her on aspen however I want to change substrates based on looks. So post your pictures and tell me about the substrate you chose!! This will be a huge help on setup ideas as well! Thanks in advanced!!

I love the coconut husk substrates. I'm currently using Reptichip. It totally eliminates smells and absorbs water like crazy and last's for months.

I used aspen at first but switched to cypress mulch for looks and humidity purposes. I love the way fresh mulch looks if it's not dried out too much.

I currently use aspen/beach chips, without intending to hijack the thread does anyone have recommendations on a nicer dry substrate? Humidity is always pretty high here unfortunately :confusd:

There's been a lot of substrate threads lately a quick search might get you the quickest answers.

I've used Aspen, Cypress, eco earth, paper, and pro coco. Currently using pro coco for all my snakes except the hognose who is on eco earth. I like the coco chip products like reptichip, pro coco etc. Because they are great for humidity very easy to clean and is great at absorbing odors. And it's not too expensive if you buy it in bricks compared to loose bags.

Only have a few pics with the pro coco and they aren't very great.

My buddies are using cypress mulch (nofloat) but it's so hard to find so I ordered some reptichip coco husk. If you buy it straight from the website and use the coupon for two bags, it's a pretty good deal. Cypress is much cheaper though but they say you gotta either bake it or leave it outside in the freezing cold for a while (wood mites). Less likely to be a problem with reptichip I think...
