Best Way to Seal Anything?
I am building a new tank for my BP. It's acrylic with two front sliding doors and a bunch of customizations.
I've built a background before where I used expanding foam, covered in grout. To seal it I used grout sealer (spray can) and a few layers of acrylic (spray can). Although it is mold and water resistant, I'm not sure I like that way of sealing.
For the new tank I want to make the background similar to my current one but not directly on to the tank's surface but use sheets of acrylic to build on and then placing the finished background in the tank so it's not in there permanentally.
I'd like it to be water proof so that I can take it out and rinse it off to clean. It doesn't have to be dishwasher safe but something close to that.
The tank is 50"L×16"W×13"H so I'm going to need alot which is where marine grade epoxy becomes very very pricey.
Would a gallon of table top epoxy do?
Has anyone ever done anything like this?
Any advice would be great!
Also if anyone has made any cool furniture for their viv, I'm still looking for more ideas on huts, climbing stuff and all that. Post some pictures of your cool stuff!

I reckon you can.
I use an IPad which can't do that, or I don't know how to, so I can't help you out there.

And to answer to your question no, if you create a new identical thread it will be deleted or merged, if you place a thread in the wrong section simply contact one of the staff members (MODS = Name in Green , ADMINS = Name in RED) and we will move the thread for you.
