    Runny poop
Our new male in quarantine left this in his tub. I know the white stuff is urates, but the other stuff has a mucus texture and dark specs in it. He's already pooped 2 times in three weeks, but those looked more normal.

No vets locally would examine this.

Why not? What was their reasoning? I have no Clue about what that may be, but if someone said guess, the only thing I can think of (if it is like that again) is parasites..but thats a total guess from someone that doesnt know anything except for the fact ive never seen the Green, Mucous like poo with black dots in 29 years..
Wish someone else would chime in....

One just refused, two others were 'not in'.

Id make a apointment if it was me. They should have Some hard white Uriates and dark Poo... Im thinking some kind of parasites or something and ive never heard of a Vet not taking stook samples. Makes no sense so id find a real vet asap.

You said the reptile had two other stool passings that were more normal looking. Has he eaten since you've had him? If he hasn't, that could also be a reason this stool passing looks as it does. The reason the vet couldn't take this stool was bc it typically needs to be a certain consistency and solidified material to have a fecal float done. With that said, i think this sample could've been examined under a glass slide with a microscope bc it does appear somewhat suspicious. However a history of husbandry, feedings, needs to be considered as well.
