I have a savannah monitor at the moment and was considering a Nile Monitor. I already know the Savannah Monitor has a very heavy enclosure requirement (mine is still small and his tub is a couple hundred pounds, which will only increase as he grows larger). But with a Nile I was wondering if I could get away with a substantially lighter enclosure. So, the question is, do Nile Monitors need to dig? If not the heaviest requirement will be the water, which is definitely manageable, if so the weight of its enclosure will be tremendous.
