FedEx frustrations!
Hello all. So today I was supposed to receive me little buddy and all was well. The plane left Memphis arrived at lax at 8is this morning due for delivery at 10:30. So 12 o'clock come and I get nervous because he has not arrived. I call FedEx and they say it's been a delay they will call me back and let me know when it's on it's way to my city. I live about an hour and a half away from lax so I figured I'll give it time. FedEx called me back 30 mins later and said the truck is in route for my city and they will have the local FedEx hub call me with an arrival time. Now I'm excited it's finally happening. Three hours past and still nothing. I called back to check on everything and was told the shipment will not make it today it's still in Los Angeles. Talk about bad customer service, they told me it was on its way just to find out it never left. I hope all is well with my lil guy I'm so mad it's crazy. I asked can I drive down and pick him up my self and was told no. Smh it's a bad day.

I had problems with my little beardie, Harley from FedEx too. I was waiting up stairs watching TV so I could hear the door knock or doorbell. Nothing by 10:30 am but I do hear a delivery truck drive off. So I run downstairs, open my door and there is one of those FedEx you weren't home slips on my door. I called the local FedEx hub and asked told the gal that I was home and the driver never knocked etc. She said nothing she can do and I would have to wait until 6:30pm to pick her up from the hub. I told her to use the radio or cell phone and call the driver and have him turn around as he couldn't be more than a few blocks from me. She said they cant get a hold of the drivers. I said BS. So basically I told her she was a idiot as I know all delivery companies have some way to reach their drivers. Anyways I told her I wanted to talk to her supervisor. She said she couldn't get a hold of him either. That's when I lost it. I ended up just going off on her which wasn't very professional from my point but I had enough of her worthlessness. I told her she better find her bosses number and have him call me asap and then I hung up. Well in about 5 mins, I got a call from the supervisor telling me that the driver was on his way back and would there in a few mins. I stood outside my house on the porch and waited for him. Sure enough, he was back in a about 5 mins with box in hand. That's my only bad experience with FedEx. Well except when the corner of 2/3 of my tops for my AP were cracked and AP had to replace them but that's another story haha. And to shine a bright light on this, here is a picture of Harley at almost 4 years old!!

And good luck on your little guy. Delivery day is a mixed blessing. Awesome when it goes good, a complete nightmare when it goes bad. :(

Re: FedEx frustrations!
When my super dwarf retic was being shipped to me I had issues too. Was watching my tracking updates every two minutes, saw that the package had reached my city... then nothing by 10:30am. Noonish comes around and I have an update that my package is in Washington state... I live in Missouri! Had the shipper track the package down as I was at work and some dingus at my FedEx hub read a label wrong somewhere and sent my poor snake halfway back across the country in the middle of winter. Finally got her the next day. The driver didn't even knock on the door, was going to leave the package outside on my door step, disregarded all statements in the package to keep it warm and upright, left it on its side and it was 40 degrees outside. Needless to say I was pissed. My three week old hatchling was freezing cold, not moving, basically looked dead on arrival. Once she was in my hands for a few minutes her tongue started to flick and she began to slowly move around. Only time I've ever had an animal shipped to me and it was not a good first experience. Anyway, that snake just turned one year old today and is doing great. hApPiE bUrPhDaEy, Phyllis!

I was much more fortunate then you today (pics coming), but I feel you pain. Hope for the best! Sauzo, they all have radios, trust me. Had my fair share of no one knocking. Get to know the supervisors name 😉. Helps that I know the ins and outs of being a driver, no telling me what's possible and what's not. 😂

Thanks guys I'm more worried for the snake .. I know I will not get any sleep tonight lol

Re: FedEx frustrations!
I'm sure the critter will be fine. They're better equipped to withstand cooler temps for a bit than excessive temps. How far is it traveling and what is the weather like where you are?

Oh I know they all have radios lol. I was a auto mechanic so I dealt with lots of different delivery drivers be it local parts shops or nationwide delivery for some of the more exotic stuff. That's why I lost it with the FedEx gal when she told me they couldn't get a hold of their drivers and especially her supervisor.

Same here. I always get worried since I've seen how some of those FedEx guys handle stuff....much more careless than I'd like to see. And for sure, if you can get to the hub, go there instead of waiting that extra day. My hubs allow pick ups after 6:30pm.

Re: FedEx frustrations!
i'm 1 for 2 with bad FedEx experiences, but nowhere near your situation: snake delivery day, package not delayed (1030am) and en route, i took the morning off from work to wait and sign for my package since signature was required.
11am passes, and nothing. then my phone buzzes and i see the delivery notification. WHAT?! i read it over: "Delivered. No Signature Required." WHAT!!! i run to the door to look and there's her little box on my porch, set on the ground and it's 40°, no doorbell, no knocks, "LIVE HARMLESS REPTILE" clearly written on the box. unbelievable. thankfully she was a-OK.
i was just floored at the capability of FedEx to screw almost everything up besides delivering her on time.
i feel for you, but i'm sure he'll be okay. stay up their butts, tho! i'd make sure they knew my name and phone number by now.
