Make sure you clean it out well. You don't want any surprise 'pets'. I would take it outside, disassemble it and use soap and bleach to clean it completely out. Then let it sit and dry a few days and reassemble and seal.

Bleach is the only thing that will kill cryto if I'm not wrong.
