    Flexwatt issues
So I recently got 2 used rhinoraxx from a reputable breeder. These are the ballroom racks with 41qt tubs. The flexwatt on the top rack seems to work fine mostly but the bottom rack isn't as close. I'm running them to a Ve200. I even have the dual strips running now on the bottom rack, and still the temps aren't there. My ambient is around 75 degrees. The probe is directly on the flexwatt in the top rack.

Not sure how to fix this other than get new flex-tape. The bottom ones DO run but just much weaker, and it's not just one or two. It is however warming it a bit but nowhere near as the top >.< I have my t-stat running a little higher than I'd like it but I can't go any higher unless I burn up the top ones. Maybe I should get a second t-stat for the bottom rack.

Other thing, the top one is a SINGLE flexwatt, and bottom one is a DUAL flexwatt. Initially I had both running just ONE track each, problem was there, no ran DUAL on the bottom, problem still there. Are these not compatible running into the same t-stat??? :slamhead::slamhead::slamhead:

What do you mean by single flexwatt and dual flexwatt? And assuming the tapes are the same width across the rack, it is normal for the bottom of racks to be cooler than the top due to how heat works in general. Heat rises and as a result the temps of the tubs near the bottom will always be cooler.

Yes, but using the t-gun on the bottom flex it is reading a much lower temp. the ballroom rack from rhinoraxx has normally two flexwatts running about 2 inches apart, 4" width each. however there is the option to have a single flexwatt installed, which is the case in my top rack.

Oh okay. Are the strips of flexwatt connected across the levels in the single flexwatt rack? And how much is the temp difference?

After calling Rhinoraxx, these racks actually aren't rhinoraxx, but they look damn close.... Luckily I paid through paypal so will be returning them.

To answer your question, the strips are connected to a single flexwatt rack but the temp difference is around 12+ degrees.

ohhh ok, and yeah that seems about right. Thats the difference on one of my racks too. Top shelves read around 95 where the bottom is like 86.

Do you run your probe in the bottom rack?

    Re: Flexwatt issues
The probe typically gets placed as close to the middle tub as possible to minimize the temp difference between the top and bottom tubs.

As you probably know by now, Rhinoraxx is from Jeff Ronne of Boaphiles.

And that's as much as I can help as I don't use racks, I just stack PVC cages lol.
