    Cheapest way to buy F/T
I'm new to F/T mice and can't find a website to purchase some from without paying a fortune for shipping. I've seen this is a common problem, and most say to find a local producer. However, I live in a small town in Eastern Kentucky and there isn't anything like that around here. We JUST got our first pet store and it's tiny. They have live pinkies but that's it. There's no way I can feed live, my heart can't take it. I'm such a lover of all living things. I wouldn't mind making a trip to another city to one of the big pet store chains to get some. It'd be a several hour trip though so I guess my question is the best/cheapest online supplier or your experience and approximate cost at a pet store. Thanks :)

Find a local Repticon and go pick up a few months worth of feeders at a time

    What size F/T?
I've had to buy from the big box pet stores in a pinch. Lg adult mice are around $3.50 each if you buy a 4 pack or about $4 each for singles.
I also had to buy a 6 pack of fuzzies and I think they were about $11-12 if I remember correctly.

I would try to take Freakie_frog's advice and buy bulk from a reptile convention. I just bought 50 lg adult mice for $30. So I got 50 for the price of of about 8 at the pet stores.

I am in the process of trying to find a good online supplier too, but the conventions seem to be the most economical way to go.

Yeah. You def get bent over when you buy from pet shops. Even the reptile shops that breed their own charge insane prices... I called around to a few in my area. 3.50 plus tax for a rat pup?? Really?

The only way to save money is to buy bulk 100 or more, however if you only have one snake it's not doable unless you split an order with a fellow local snake owner, after that snake shows.

If you have a trusted local supplier that's probably your best option. Reptile shows are another good choice. You can find good deals and eliminate the shipping costs. I get all my f/t feeders online and usually pay a flat rate shipping fee of about $30. Perfect Prey is my preferred vendor followed by Big Cheese.

I just got a bunch more snakes so ordering online would be doable. :D

Yeah shipping kills the savings unless you buy bulk.
I can breed and a/c-heat the shed cheaper than I can buy f/t.
Though I have been thinking of switching everyone to f/t for personal time and to get my shed back for craft work......
