    Sand in bp mouth
Ok guys so heres the deal i just got this girl maybe 2 hrs agothe guy put her in a terrarium with sand. He said he just put her in there but she has a lot of sand all over her. I put her in a bath to clean off the sand and she is salivating like crazy theres sand coming out of her mouth and she seems to be wheezing. I don't know if there's sand in her windpipe or if it's because the humidity in the bath but I don't know if I need to take her into the Vet right away as it's $150 for an emergency visit today. Should she be ok and give her a day or so to see if it clears out or should i take her in right away? I have many other bps and i should have checked her over better when i picked her up so its my deal now but im not sure what to do. When she open her mouth it doesnt look to be to bad its pink and clear i dont really see any infection type stuff. I dont think being in the sand for a few hours (if ots true he just put her in there) would do this much damage so to speak. Any ideas? Or just head to the vet?

If he kept a BP on sand, he probably also didn't have the right heat / humidity going on.

Having a mouth full of sand probably didn't help things, either.

What you could do is dry her off and put her into a tub that has the right heat/humidity and also hides. I would put her on paper towel for now, as well. Unless things get a lot worse, I would take her to the Vet tomorrow instead of tonight. You also want to make sure the vet has some experience with reptiles/exotics. I don't think going late today vs. tomorrow morning will make much difference at this point.

Good luck and thanks for saving that poor girl..

Im thinking RI and the sand is just an extra little thing but I've never delt with it.

I would give her a couple days in a proper set-up and see what happens.
Really cant give a diagnosis on a stressed animal and the more you try to figure things out the more you will stress her.

Ok i have her in terrarium just put a couple hides in for her. I've just never seen any of my bps like this so idk what is going on. And this guy said he hasnt noticed anything going on with her which i dont believe and then he dropped the "she should be laying eggs this week" on me and now hes not responding when i asked him about her previous set up and all that. So i just took everything out put paper towels down hides and everything is good to go so i hope shes alright.

I'm having trouble with the whole "she's about to lay eggs" deal. I'm new to the reptile world, but shouldn't that be a big no-no?
