Infrared 75w heat lamp on day and night?
This is my first post on this site and I'm a relatively new ball python owner so please bare with me. I use an infared 75w heat lamp and I leave it on all day and night that's his only and primary source of heat. To simulate day time I just leave the closet light on all day and turn it off at night So he knows it's night but I leave the lamp on all day and night. All temps are within the correct gradients for cool side, warm side and average temperature and humidity is perfect right at 55 and he eats just fine, hides, and comes out to slither at night, he shows no signs of stress. he's got a hide on each side and each one is dark so he feels safe. Just making sure I'm doing everything correctly especially with the infared light but I've read in this site on another forum that it was okay but just making sure! Thanks for any information!

How are you measuring the humidity? An open-top enclosure with a lamp running 24/7 will dry out very fast.

Infrared 75w heat lamp on day and night?
I'm down to just one tank and run my heat lamp 24/7. With proper substrate and tank tweaking I have no problem with reaching into the 70's with my humidity during shed.

It Is a closed top enclosure and retains humidity quite well. Thank you for your response!

My setup and enclosure look very similar to yours. Thanks for the reassurance and advice!

I should have used this photo. You can see the screen is covered with foil wrapped cardboard inserted into each section.
