Can a female go from no follicles to follicles overnight?
How long does it take from a female to go from no follicles to being able to feel them?

I think that depends mostly on the owner.

Some are more experienced then others and can feel the smaller follicles. Its probably one of those things you get better with once you know what you are looking/feeling for.

Also depends on the female, her muscle tone , how big she is, is she full of food.

I don't "feel" my females much at all, because I'm not sure how much pressure is "to much" and I don't want to hurt them. Sometimes I let them "slide" through my hands and I try to feel something, but no luck yet !

Follicles are part of the female anatomy, even at birth, though undecernable. They develop and grow as do other organs and structures as the hatchling grows in life.

If you are asking when are the follicles mature enough for reproduction, I am not a breeder and don't know for sure.

Considering that every living thing develops and grows at individual rates, my guess would be around the 2 yr give or take for BPs. I'm sure a breeder may come along with a better answer.

Keep in mind that all of the snake's anatomical systems need to be mature before reproduction. Details even as small as having the proper muscle mass. Ovulation and laying those eggs take a lot work! Carpet Pythons take about double to triple that time to mature IIRC. Boas are live bearers rather than egg layers, so things are a bit different. Depending on the snake size and locality it can be from 3-6 years for sexual maturity.

Can she goes from nothing to golf balls size? No it does not happen overnight, follicles grow over a period of time, mostly it's the inability to feel them at certain size or with certain animals or depending on your efficiency palpating.

Follicle maturation usually take 4 to 8 months, generally speaking you really start to get a good feel when they reach the size of a marble.
