Buy F10 or Stay with Zoomed Wipe Out! Disinfectants?
Hello guys! Just asking for some advices in good decision making and making sure it would be worth my cost. I have a product from Zoomed which is the Zoomed Wipe Out! For those who does not know, it is a terrarium disinfectant. I use this when I am cleaning the enclosure of my baby, Cheddar. I bought this is an affordable price and I seldom use it like once a month. So there was a seller who messaged me about whether I am interested in buying his product, F10. It is also a good disinfectant but it does not repel mites according to the seller and I want a mite repellant in case there would be mites, I just want to keep it safe. Should I buy one? Since I already have a disinfectant for my ball python or instead I would just buy mite repellants so that Cheddar would be free from mites? Asking for advice in good decision making and money usage since I have a limited amount of funds at the moment. Thanks! Happy Keeping! :)

My guess is that many more folks prefer the F10 over the Wipeout. But use whatever works for YOU.

Unless you are having mite issues, I see no reason in exposing your snake to chemicals unless warranted, either natural or synthetic.

F10sc Vet concentrate. A $30 200ML(6.8oz) bottle will last years and you can spray your heart out...

    First of all, the comparison.

Zoomed wipeout uses the same main ingredient then F-10. In MUCH smaller quantities. Basically, it is already diluted, while the F-10 is concentrated and you mix it with water.

Both use Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride.

Zoomed has 0.13 % Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (one tenth of one percent)
99.87% "inert ingredients" thats where your water, deodorizer, etc comes into play. Nothing that repels mites, btw.

F-10 has 5.4 % Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride
    0.4 % Poly hydrochloride
    94.2 % inert ingredients

So you see, between the 2 main sanitizing ingredients the F-10 has, it comes to almost 6% of the entire amount.
Whereas in the Zoomed only 1/10th of ONE percent is the main ingredient/Sanitzer. Much, much diluted already.

    Now to price.

Zoomed can cost around $6 plus shipping for 8.75 oz to $15 plus shipping for 32 oz. So..lets say about $.50 per oz.

F-10 costs about $16 shipped for 100 ml. However, that is a concentrate. If you use it in the STRONGEST recommended dilution, which is 4 ml of product to a liter of water, you still get a total of 25 liters of product. That is 845 oz or 6.6 gallons.
Most people use it at the 2 ml/liter strength, which then gives you 50 liters of product or over 13 gallons. You could hit the golden middle at 3 ml per liter...and pay about a penny per oz.

Either way, with the F-10 you have a TON of sanitzer that is also superior and doesn't add unnecessary "deodorizer" chemicals.

I mean if you pay $15 for 32 oz of Zoomed or
$15 for up to 1690 oz of F-10 which is also a better sanitizer

    Do the math ;)

Ok, I hope I didn't mess up anywhere with MY math, but I'm pretty sure I got it right...

I've used Chlorhexadine, F10SC and Wipeout. I prefer F10SC. The 6.8oz concentrate bottle lasts me about 6 months or so.
