Popping-- this is a female correct?
Hey guys! Popping my Lesser Plat ball python. Thinking of breeding plans in the far future, so want to know if she is indeed a she. I know that the picture looks clearly female, but my question is, I have popped her a few times. The first time I did, I saw what I think were scent glands. They were white-ish clear and spaced out further than what I think hemipens are. Are scent glands really that visible? Or is it a male that I'm having trouble with exposing its hemipens again? I hope I made my question clear :) Also, sorry for the freakishly clear photo of my bp's butt

That looks like an unsuccessful popping. It's not easy to do, I can't either and won't try too hard cause you can injure the snake.

Get a probe set online, it's a lot easier.

Thank you! Sounds like a better idea

I would highly recommend that you find someone local to pop your snake for you and shows you how to do it, most people do not position their fingers right nor do they apply enough pressure, in your case it's a bit of both.

Keep in mind you can push a probe too far too
