Want to say thanks for sharing your knowledge
On October 28th, I walked into a big box pet store and made an impulse buy of a baby mojave ball python. I knew so little about them that I didn't even recognize how poorly this little guy (or gal - not sure) looked. I found this forum the same night and have been back every day lurking and learning. Because so many of you are willing to share your knowledge and truly want to see people successfully care for their pets, I have been able to turn Finley around. The more I learned at first I thought there is no way this snake is going to survive. He had been at the pet store 8 weeks and according to the paper work I got he only once took a f/t mouse pinky on his own once and 4 weeks later was force fed a f/t mouse pinky. But he has come so far and is now taking f/k small to medium adult mice and just yesterday had his third shed for me but the first one that was complete and in one piece - eye caps and all! He is in a 40L with an UTH on a thermostat and a red heat lamp on a dimmer. I have a digital thermometer and hygrometer and double check with the temp gun every other day or so. So thanks to all of you that share your knowledge and take the time to care!

Nice job turning him around, he has a great body condition now, looks really healthy. When I first started I almost got a Mojave and a GHI and was going to cross them to get a GHI Mojave. It's a super cool combo:
