I know this may be a dumb question but hey I'm new to snakes lol. But Do you have to quarantine a snake if its your only snake when bringing him home after buying? Thanks oh and this site is amazing👍

The purpose of QT is to make sure new animals don't potentially infect others. If there are no other reptiles in your home then I wouldn't really call it QT but some keepers do a mite prevention treatment on all new animals.

Quarantine can also be used to make sure that the python you have is healthy, having it in a minimally cluttered cage with paper towels as substrate will allow you to check for mites, make sure it is defecating normally, and any other sign of illness. It can be relatively short period since it is an only animal, just a suggestion.
