    Feeding issue, please help :(
Hey guys, so today I fed my snake for the second time since I got him. He killed the mouse successfully but now won't eat it, like he's been trying for around 3 hours. He's wrapped around it and chewing on its head but wont go beyond that point. Is there something I can do to help? Or should I just leave him alone more time?

    Thanks in advance :)

he waited so long that it has probably moved into the "pre-killed" category, riger might have set in, perhaps remove it, waiting till after it passes, a few hours in mice I presume, then rewarm to normal body temp, about 102 and try again later?

"The drawback here is that as time progresses, the prey item will begin to stiffen and cool to room temperature. Both of which may cause the snake to lose interest. My personal opinion is that if the snake hasn't consumed a dead prey item after an hour or so, it probably won't, so rather than leaving the snake crammed in a feeding container, just call it quits, and try again in a few days."

Nevermind he just finished eating it :D it seems that all he had to do was figure out the right position to start swallowing. Thank you so much for the help anyways, it seems like helpful information for the future
