Another noob question lol
I've got everything ready but not hooked up. Sunday I'll be picking up a couple ball pythons (pastel 100% het pied male and whatever catches my eye) I just need a cheap/cheaper tstat. Is there anything I can go pick up from a store today that will hold 3 settings one for each uth and a Che? Or do I need 3 separate tstats?

If you want a "cheap tstat", then you'll need to buy 3 thermostats... Or you can get a herpstat 4 that'll last you forever, is extremely accurate, and can work 4 heating devices.
Another noob question lol
Thank you guys I plan to start a rack later (maybe next year). is a herpstat4 a good idea with a rack or multiple racks?
I'm only going cheap right now bc I plan to really invents in a good quality tstat in the near future.

a herpstat 4 is overkill if you are only going to run one rack. I bought a herpstat 2 just so I had the option of a second plug but I'll be able to run my rack off of only 1 plug.
Re: Another noob question lol
I was thinking future investments/separate breeding racks later in the future if I was to build say 2 10 capacity adult racks and 2 30 capacity hatchling racks or whatever happens a herpstat 4 will be a good investment 5-10 years down the road. Or would say a herpstat 2 be good for a possible second rack in 2-3 years and then a final investment of herpstat 4 later be wise or if I even want to go that far?

Sorry not go "that far" but to go that big. But then I begs the question into breeding rats later also?.. which I wouldn't think I'd need a tstat bc they would have their own "snake room" with a controlled temp environment anyways.
And sorry for coming off this way when I'm getting my first bp soon. But all the animals I used to have I sold or gave away when I had kids and now I'm done having kids and they're getting old enough I'm finally ready to get back in. And of course bp are my newfound obsession for years to come and I can't wait to share with my kids and hopefully get them their first and help them take care of them when they get older!

A herpstat 2 can only run two separate settings, and since you said you need 3 settings, a herpstat 4 is what works. You can only have one setting/temp per plug.
