Escaped Ball python

So I have an animal plastics T8 divided in half with my 3yr old lesser on one side and I had my 8mo old banana ball python on the other. I noticed my light had dislodged on the bananas side so I quickly grabbed the key and inspected his enclosure. He was nowhere to be found... my husband and I have since torn apart the house but still haven't found him. It had to be within the last 48hrs that he escaped. We also have 2 dogs in the house.... any ideas on where to look cause right now I'm at a loss.

Check for the snake in tight, warm spots. It will want to get warm. I hope you find him soon!

It's in the living room. I fed them both Sunday and last checked on them on Wednesday evening. We have 3 kids in the house (2 under 4yrs old) so it's never quiet unless they're asleep.

Start in the room they are in on one side, check HIGH and LOW and in between, looking in dark spots, and warm spots (Near electronics/behind your cable box/computer/tv/anything that heats up when on is a good place to start). Once you have gone from one side to the other of that room branch out from there doing the same to each room then moving on. That way if he is still inside your house you will find him.

Main thing is to be sure to not hurt/crush him when moving stuff looking for him or that your dogs get ahold of him.

Would he try and get into a heating vent? That's the only place I can't look.. otherwise my house is a ranch, there's only so many places for me to look.. still can't believe this happened.

A heating vent sure would be a place they would want to get into unfortunately. I sure hope thats not where it went... if its not near the electronics maybe up inside the furniture..like under the couch but up in the wood frame ect....

I had a young king snake get out of a tub, I thought it was weird so I put him back in the tub. The next week he was out again, come to find out he was so small (smaller than a pencil) and the gap above the tub was so big he was able to slide right out. It's been about eight months and we still haven't found that snake. In fact we just stopped looking LOL.

Tonight, make sure the dogs are locked up and then sprinkle your entire floor (hoping your living room isn't carpet) with flour. Make sure lights are all off. In the morning, any tracks will be visible and give you a clue. If you feed f/t, you could try setting up a warm area with a hide and some food.

Sorry to hear about your snake being MIA. I know they like warm, enclosed, dark areas. I have heard of them finding their way under stoves/ovens as well as fridges. Check under, behind and even up and inside the workings of the appliance. I was recently at a fish/reptile shop near me and one of his BPs escaped over night. He had gotten into the back of the freezer unit and the shop owner had to pull the unit apart and pull the angry snake out. They were both fine after a bit, but both were stressed due to the whole adventure. Be careful to move furniture/appliances slowly so you don't injure the snake. Good luck!!!
