What gauge is more accurate for RH?
All three of these hygrometer's have different readings. Just wondering what everyone's opinion is on which one is going to be the most accurate/reliable.

    1st is the
Zilla Reptile Terrarium Thermometer & Humidity Gauge
    https://www.amazon.com/Zilla-Reptile...ds=zilla+gauge
    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...16YJjqaY3L.jpg

    2nd
Pet Magasin Digital Thermometer and Hygrometer

    https://ball-pythons.net/forums/cach...L._SL1500_.jpg

This guy reads usually high and sometimes almosts maybe too high idk...or it could be accurate again why i am asking this question

    3rd
Zoo Med HygroTherm Humidity and Temperature Controller
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019IHK9Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The is the most expensive by far cause of its features but seems to be accurate or at least i sure hope so for the price i paid.

Yes i have all three setup in my tank trying to get my BEL's setup just right. She is a happy girl as she eats without any issues and is always in her hide and drinks water very frequently. I did just have to treat her for mites which i am guessing they came with her from the company that sold her to me. Either way it was very minor and she did an amazing job while my wife and I tweezed them off and sprayed her with reptile mite products. That is irrelevant tho im just proud of myself for being a first time snake owner and being able to overcome an issue like that on my own. Wanted to share.

So please any help on which gauge is gonna give me the most accurate reading is much appreciated.

Also I have my uth which gives her a hot spot under her hide around 88 Deg. F but i cannot get the ambiant air temp above 75. unless i use a higher wattage bulb but then it drys up the air and causes to low of RH readings.......

first one is garbage, the second two are probably decently reliable.

I originally got the Accurite combination but when I switched to Herpstat I noticed they have a hygrometer probe. I sent Dion at Spyder Robotics a message and he told me to save my money and get the Xikar model from the link below (the rectangular one at the bottom) and stated that's the model they use to ensure their probes are calibrated correctly.

    https://www.xikar.com/products/humid...l-hygrometers/

I called Xikar and spoke with Kevin about the 10-15% difference from my Accurite to the Xikar to see if I had to calibrate the new one. He said it did not need to be calibrated and was good to go out of the box. I mentioned having 3 enclosures and I wished they had a wireless set-up and guess what....they do LOL

So I made a quick visit to amazon and ordered this with 3 sensors....

    https://www.xikar.com/products/humid...-hygro-system/

So I've been comparing all 5 hygrometers and the Xikar units are all within 1-2% of each other while the Accu"wrong" has been 10-15% off...

Hope this helps...stay away from cheap dials and spend a couple bucks on something that will give you good numbers (at least from my experience).
