Feeding BP's in tubs (rack system) question.

I have recently relocated my BP's from 40 gallon show tanks to Iris tubs. This will be my first time feeding them in their tubs. Might be a silly question but should I leave the tubs open after they grab their prey until they finish eating it, or close the tub and let them eat then?

The reason I ask is because my BP's in the final phase of swallowing their prey, stand up on their bellies and lift their heads in the air to take the prey down their throats. Inside a tub, which is significantly lower in height than a 40 gallon, I don't think they'll have the height needed to stretch into the air and do this. Should I leave the tubs open until the finish off the prey because of this?

I normally close mine to save them getting distracted and they seem to manage ok. :gj:

It'll be alright to close them! My tubs are 6" in height and my adults swallow their prey just fine.

I always close mine as soon as they grab onto the prey. They are in a very vulnerable state when they have a mouthful of rodent. I just leave them be. They seem to ok.

thank you all, I was unsure if they needed to be able to stretch their necks up into the air to engulf the entire prey. I just fed and as soon as they grabbed onto the rodent I closed the tubs :)
