Hasn't Shed in months?

My ball python hasn't shed in about a few months, her last shed was about October-November. She has grown a bit and I can tell she wants to shed. A couple times she's climbed into her moss bowl and burried herself, I guess because the moss is so moist. I know humidity has a part to play in this, but lately it's been a hassle keeping the humidity up. I can keep it between 50-52 most of the time, but I usually do give it a sprints a few times a day.

I have tin foil onto of her tank lid ( The lid I use is this custom made wood one with a rack that you can clamp your lamp on to, its kinda weird to put tinfoil on though). But I'm thinking I might need to re apply it.

Again I'm pretty sure she needs to shed, but I'm not sure. Anything I could do to help?

Just before typing this I let a very soft mist fall onto her with the spray bottle, not alot, just a bit, to keep her moist.

If she's having issues shedding up the humidity to 65-70ish and consider providing something she can soak in if she wants to.

Try a room humidifier. Cheap at Walmart. Our humidity is below 50% without it and 60% with it.

Well I dont want to humidify my whole room, just her tank. So do I put it in her tank or near it?

You can just make a humid hide, instead of humidifying the entire enclosure. Add some moss (or just a paper towel) against the sides of the hide, and spray it moist.

They'll shed when they need to, don't worry about that. If you haven't seen her in blue/blue eyes yet, then she doesn't need to shed yet.

I tried putting moss near the back inside of her hide last time and she wouldn't go back in. She would try to go inside but then give up and just stay out.

Her eyes look pretty normal, but why else would she be covering herself in the moss if she wasn't trying to shed?

If she wasn't in blue and she's burrowing into the moss, she's most likely just treating it as a hide/cover.

That's kind of odd. Any reason why shed be using it as a cover/hide when she usually stays in her own regular hide most of the time?

She's a little too big for the bowl so she just burries her head.

If she is an adult, shedding schedules can change. Mine shed every two months for a year thanks to getting better care in my house than his previous home, and now has gone three months. Still no sign of shed. I keep my humidity at 55-60%.

If she doesn't look like she is going to shed, I wouldn't worry much.

Well she's looking rather blue all over now and still has her eye caps. So I'm guessing shes about to shed any day now.
