    Too cold?
A few weeks ago, Willow's cold side stayed around 82. She never used her hot side. I turned it down to 79/80 and now side ideas ont leave the hot side. (She has also been in there since her shed ended.)
Shoukd i turn it back to 82? Maybe she likes it more on the warmer side of the scale?

I think it's ok the way you have it but I'm sure some would disagree. My BP's cold side goes up to about 78 F and she uses it often. Her warm side is up to 85 F and she uses it too. As long as your BP has some options and a good range it'll be fine. I would try to be consistent. That's my opinion.

Until you hear from someone who is wiser than me...I figure she can always get cooler (going to that side), but if its too cool on your warm side then she has no where to go to adjust for herself. Does that make sense? lol
You said the cold side was 82, but what was the warm side? Are you using UTH and a lamp or what?

Cold side 78-81.... Hot side 88-91... Of course no thermometer is perfect. What do you mean by her cold side goes up to 78? What it goes down to is what could cause more of a problem.

It ranges 78 to 80 and hot 88 to 90 (if she sits on the probe she cools it and it can read 86, lol.)

I guess she just feels like being toasty this month, lol.

Humidity is usually between 60% and 66%. We are running a humidifier in the room or it bottoms out because of winter. I leave the door cracked if I see it around 66%. It's hit almost 70% during non shed, and then I really crack the door.

I was keeping my cold side at 72, I just increased it to 75F just because I like a warmer snake room LOL. Hot spot is 88F. I keep the snakes directly on the tub bottom with no substrate between the snake and the bottom of the tub. When they make a mess they crawl up on the Reptichip on the cold side away from it until I can get in there and spot clean the back of the tub LOL. Everyone seems to be feeding just fine, and my first pair looks like they may have some eggs real soon! I've heard that anything 95F or higher can make your males temporarily sterile, so don't get too high... My snakes usually always hang out on the hot side unless its right before feeding time, then they tend to wander.
