First time owning a snake - few questions.
    Hi guys!
Let me introduce my little guy. He is a 1yr old male fire ball python that I got from a breeder a week ago, I fed him frozen weaner rat twice already once a week.

    My questions are...
-How often do they poop,on average? When would it be considered that he's having a problem? The only things I found were two white bits, urates I guess ,since I got him which looked like popcorns :P

-How often do you change their whole bedding (repti bark)? I have rats and after max a week, its obvious it needs to be changed, but what about snakes?

-What is your view on lowering their temp during a night? Some people say it is necessarily for adults and some say that it's not needed to be lowered at all. :confusd:

    Thanks for help!

Only time I would worry is if they have "sausage butt" for several going.

-What is your view on lowering their temp during a night? Are you planning on breeding? If not than its not needed. If you are, its still not needed. Some people say it is necessarily for adults and some say that it's not needed to be lowered at all. :confusd:

Poop...every 10 days or so ? More or less often possible ;)

I completely remove ALL soiled bedding. Push the clean stuff to the side, remove soiled, wipe down area with F10 (sanitizer) add more substrate. I like the enclosures clean ;)

I don't lower temps at night, never have. Not even for breeding. But some might ?

Congrats on your beautiful snake...a real looker :)

Mine poops maybe once a month, sometimes less. usually only right after she sheds... can be 1-3 months.

I use paper, I don't have any info for this one.

Keep a warm side and a cool side. No need to worry with changing the temps at night. It will only cause more stress for you.
    Thanks for help!
