Have a laugh at my expense
Ok I thought I would share this, since there may be a few of you that might need a good chuckle.
Last night as I was getting the kids ready for bed, I was freaked out to see a snake coming down the hall. It was very still and I thought ... dang it how'd that stinker get out - followed by better get it back into the cage before the husband sees ... only to discover it was my children's rubber snake. Unfortunatley in the dark it's about the same size and color as mine. The worst part is it's about the third or fourth time I've made the same mistake. I felt so dumb!! I hate that rubber snake!!  Gotta hide it so the kids can't find it until Halloween. I've freaked out a number of times thinking their rubber tarantulas and lizards were real. You'd think I'd be used to it by now. :imslow: Motherhood is slowly draining my sanity. :D
Re: Have a laugh at my expense
The best part of the story to me is that members of the herp community don't shriek, or faint, or jump. We think, "Why is that snake not in it's enclosure where it belongs?" As if the only thing strange about a snake in your hallway is that it isn't where you put it.
Thanks for the laugh,
K

lol :)
You gotta love us herpers.
Re: Have a laugh at my expense
I just didn't want my husband to see it!! I'd be in big trouble then. Actually I never thought that I didn't scream when I saw it.....Now if it was one of those nasty palmetto bugs then I'd definitely have screamed like a little girl. YUCK! :bleh:

Sheesh, you can't play mind games like that on me! My mind is too feeble to begin with! (now my biggest problem is with the kid's plastic spiders *shudder*)
