incident with tape and snake...please help

i had a 1 " piece of electrical tape holding one of my probes in place because my bp would always move it. last evening i took him out and the piece of tape had come loose and found a new home on my snake. being electrical tape it didnt want to come off so i took some time and soaked my bp in warm water and slowly pulled the tape off. i cant see where there is much damage to my snakes scales except that there was some sticky residue left on the skin and now there are a few small particals of the astro turf stuck on the skin. is there anything i can do to et the stick off? my snake is also due for a shed soon sense i have had him for almost 4 weeks and no shed yet so maybe it will come off with the shed. i am freakin peraniod right now..... please help. and yes i have removed any tape from the cage.
