    T8- Herpstat probe placement
Before I drill my new enclosure I wanna verify placement. I'm going with cool side for the probe so plan was to drill top outside of the back panel above the vent slots, drop probe down about half way and secure outside the enclosure. Sound about right?

That's how I have mine set up. My room is in the mid-upper 60s, so not sure if this would affect where you want to place the probe, however.

    Is this for a RHP?

Yes RHP sorry and yes cooler room which going with probe on cool side seemed to be the recommended. Just wanted to make sure the simple hang and hope location sounded good.

Should be fine that way. My recommendation is to not secure it permanently until you've messed with it for a bit first. You may find you need to raise/lower the probe to get the temps you're aiming for. Alternatively, you could use the Herpstat's settings and raise/lower the temps there instead. There's all sorts of ways to do it.

Already planning on duct taping until everything's running properly and temps right. Thanks for reminder though!
