Yesterday, I went to the park where I play disc golf, and during a round with someone new, this person starts talking about the snake him and his partner saw earlier in the day. Being curious about the snake, I started to question him further about it, and he said it was a gopher snake about 5' long. Then came the reason I came close to going to jail. He started bragging about how he picked up a big rock and smashed the snake with it. I could not believe what I was hearing. He even said he knew it was harmless.
Well after this, I just about lost it and told him if I ever hear about him hurting another animal in the park, that I will call the police and report him for animal cruelty. He was so mad after I told him this that he immediatly started raising his voice and threatining me with violence. So I pulled out my cell phone and told him that I was going to call the police and he went to his car and left the park. The nerve of some people!!!!
