I did it.

I did it. One of my little girl BPs was not doing so well, so I did it. I forced fed her.

Husbandry all good, and all the little BPs that came during the same time as her have all "de-stressed" and accommodated to their new environment, except her. She was looking pretty skinny, so I simply did it. I am sorry, but she was not looking so well, and I can't just stand here and wait.

When I started my BP collection, I never thought I would have to do things like this (always thought that force feeding was for the experts), but I had to to keep this girl going. Its been 25 minutes since I did it, and no regurgitation. I think I did it right.

And yes, a vert visit will be scheduled ASAP.

I had put my cats and dogs down in the past but force feeding was THE most difficult thing I ever had done to an animal. I felt good that I worked up the courage (am I an official herpetoculturist now?). Doesn't matter - I hope she will be okay.

Double-check her heat, if she's too cold it can take up to a week before she regurges.

I've had to assist feed one of my adult bps because he just wouldn't eat and was set up just as all my other snakes were that were eating fine. It's a stressful thing to deal with but I've got my fingers crossed for your little one! I hope she bounces back like my guy did. He's a mouser now but eats mice like candy and has gained more weight this year than he has in his whole life!
