respiratory infection or too much to drink?
no no, nellie doesn't like beer. :O right, so anyhow i got nellie out tonight and as she slithered over my arm and downward several drops of clearish fluid ran out of her mouth. so i thought oh hell, and ran to the bathroom with her where i could check her under bright lighting. she wasn't too keen on me attempting to pry her mouth open but several times a pretty decent amount of fluid came out while i was messing with her. it was totally clear, not really mucusy looking or feeling--not really thick at all. it looked and felt exactly like when one of my anoles drinks a bunch of water too fast and then jumps around--a bit of clearish fluid like that will leak out of his mouth when he hits whatever it is he jumped on--it's almost like a little water regurgitation. so i'm wondering if maybe nellie had just drank a bunch of water and me getting her out and her being positioned head downward could have stimulated the same sort of water regurg thing. from what i could tell the inside of her mouth didn't look red or inflamed at all but there were some clear water bubbles. what do you all think?

fluid and bubbles doesn't sound good. if you squeeze around the jaw/cheekbone area and more fluid comes out i'd say RI. you know what to do, vet and meds asap. hope all goes well for you.

a vet would be your safest bet but if you just picked her up after she took a drink a lil water could come out but not if you sqeezed her jaws and more water came out i am suggesting a vet just to make sure

yeeah i'm thinking we are going to go see a vet tomorrow. i definitely don't want to mess around if there is any chance that it is an RI. hopefully it isn't...but there were bubbles. :( poor girl.
