Whats the difference between Mice & Rats?

Was wondering what is the best feeder for a BP? I have read so many different people say mice and then the same say rats, whats the Difference other than size? And if you feed your snake mice will it limit the size it will get?

The best feeder is whatever your snake wants. I've noticed good growth on both. You can't just feed one mouse, but if you're feeding the equivalant weight of either mice or rats, I imagine the growth would be pretty close. I think people notice more growth on rats only because of the larger size, but that's just a guess.

The best feeder is what your bp eats consistantly and is the easiest for you to obtain. There is not really any significant difference between mice and rats other than size. Ball pythons get just as big when eatting just mice.

I feed both my guys mice sometimes 5 at a time. They wont take rats.
as long as they eat thats all I care about.

I noticed a huge size difference when i switched my snakes over to rats. I believe rats have more nutrition than mice.
