Shall I move him up a prey size?
I get my new ball next week, and I can't wait - final preparations are happening. He's ~850g, and I've been told he's currently on (f/t) small rat weaners. That seems a little small to me... I'm tempted to move him to to small rats?

Though I could keep him on the prey he's used to for a week or two to help him settle in?

if/when you can post a pic of him with something in the pic for size reference that would help a lot.... but other than that the right size meal IMO is the same if not a bit bigger than the widest part (girth) of the snake you want to be able to see a visible lump but not too big. thank you and congrats on the new addition

Yes, I would try to keep him on the prey he is used to for a week or two, then I'd try to change to a slightly bigger rat weaner. Small weaners are 25-50 gr, medium weaners are about 50-80 gr, then you go to small rat 80-150. Those are the weights more or less, as they vary from supplier to supllier and they might have different names.
Talk to whoever supplies you the food and ask what are the ones he sells and how much they weigh
