Ball python wont be able to eat
Hey
Will my BP (5 months old male) be alright without eating for a month?
I'm taking him to a mates house while im on holiday, and he's willing to do the water and poop but not the icky mouse stuff.
He's a good weight (225 grams), and has eaten every 5 days for the last month and a half, but when I got him he didn't eat for around a month.
Doesn't look skinny, and no spine visible or anything, and he just shed in one piece, so everything else is good
You guys think this is fine or is too long?
Re: Ball python wont be able to eat
If you must it would probably be fine, but you would have to be careful around them for multiple reasons after, but you should really see if you can find another friend that would go over and do it once a week.
Re: Ball python wont be able to eat
Would the reason just be that he might be a bit bitey?
Re: Ball python wont be able to eat
I mean, he won't die but I personally would find someone else to take him. Seems kinda mean to let a young ball go hungry just because your friend 'doesn't want' to feed him.

Allllllrighty then.
Well yeah he won't die, but it's not good.
Good luck I suppose.

One thing you should consider is that leaving him for 1 month is the sanitary issue of the enclosure. Even though he's not eating he may still put out waste products. Urine, urates and possibly feces. Just so you think about that.
