    New Hoggie
So I just acquired a normal female western hognose (Penny) from a local breeder. She was born in July but looks very tiny. The breeder had told me that Penny was due for a feeding the day I purchased her. I waited 3 days and, against better judgement, attempted to feed her today. She did not take the f/t pinky I offered and the breeder told me she was feeding on unscented pinkies, "like a champ". I should have waited a little longer for her to get settled but I know hoggies have a very fast metabolism so I figured I would give it a shot. I have not handled her since the day I got her (3 days ago) so how long should I wait to attempt to feed her again? So far, I completely understand why people love these guys, they have such funny personalities. :taz:

I've always stuck to the schedule I was going to be using. After a few failed feeding I start skipping a offering and go to an alternating schedule until they turn back on.
