Help!!Baby pied feeding issue

Hey everyone I'm having a feeding issue with my female baby pied. I Received her about 4 months ago and at the time i was keeping her in a 20g long aquarium she was eating great every week then I put her in my rack system after her quarantine after a week of being in the rack I tried feeding her and she took it no problem. Than the week after that she wouldn't eat I figured she just wasn't hungry. I tried feeding her 4 times and she isn't interested at I then decided to assist feed and she took it fine and ate it. I don't want to assist feed her again cause she still won't eat on her own any help with my situation would be great.

You do not assist an animal that knows how to eat and was eating previously just because it has skipped 4 meals, what you do is re-assess your husbandry make changes if necessary and learn that patience goes long way with those animals.

Whenever I have moved snakes from a smaller tub to a larger tub they usually need to time to adjust to the new environment. Not sure if you have hides but if you don't, get some. I suggest two. One for the cool side. One for the hot side. This way they can thermoregulate without the stress of being exposed. They will eventually come around.

Thank you for your response I own many snakes and have for years and this is truly the first time any of them have given me trouble with feeding I will not assist feed anymore as I do know it stresses the snake out a ton and is dangerous for them. She is currently in a 15qt sterilite tub on Aspen bedding she has one hide and a water bowl the hot side is roughly 90 to 91 degrees ambient temp is 83 and humidity is any where from 45 to 60 percent I live in Denver and it's rough keeping the humidity up this time of the year thanks again for your help.

Sounds great! A tip for added security for the ball python, place a cardboard paper towel roll end into the tub. Ball up two paper towels and stick them in one end of the roll. Leave the animal alone for a week (7 days). Attempt to feed it at night or in the dark and see what type of response you get. Good luck.

I don't block one end like that but my girl loves paper towel rolls. She spends a lot of time chilling in hers.

Try switching it up by blocking one end with paper towel. You immediately made a very tight fitting hide and may have to tear into it to get them out. Real SECURITY at its highest. Lol. They really can push the paper towel out of the way when they want but when they smell food trust me ,look out. These rolls do need to be checked frequently bc they get soiled pretty quick.

That happened the first time she went in. She went in and came about halfway out and doubled back an crawled back in and got stuck. I don't know if she was really stuck but after about 30 minutes I got her out. She does pee on them so they don't last long. She is too thick to double up in them these days but she crawls through it.
