Diatomaceous earth around reptiles
After making the forum about the lavender oil I have switched to diatomaceous earth dust, actually it's much better anyways. But just making sure, is it safe to have around my animals? Reptiles in specific: snakes. I'm not putting it in their tanks... Just wondering if it's okay to have it in the same room or if they come into contact with it in some way. Thanks. I did look this up online and everyone said it's safe around reptiles but I want a second opinion.

I'm not saying it's a hazard since I've never heard of it used in this way. I'm more curious as to how/why it was turned into a scent. Or are you using it to kill bugs? I've heard of dumping it in gardens to kill insects.
Using it to kill bugs!

Sprinkling on my bed and floor boards to avoid bed bugs... And such. I often have my snakes on my bed. Was just wondering if it would harm her being near it. (I only sprinkle it around the bed edges and frames, it's not a copious amount either just a little.)
