Reptile picture with Santa?

So Petsmart is doing a free picture with Santa next weekend. I don't think my cat will sit still for a picture, but the list of acceptable pets also includes nonvenoumous reptiles. So I was wondering if anyone has ever taken their reptile(s) to get a picture with Santa? I'm debating on taking one of my ball pythons for giggles.

As long as it's a critter that doesn't tend to get stressed from being out and about, and you can keep it warm, I don't see an issue.

Several of mine could make the trip. Others, no way.

What would worry me is picking up something from Santa another snake left behind. not that snake mites would ever be in a Petsmart.;)

Would definitely be taking my Pied male if I go, he is always cruising and trying to get out of his tub. Loves riding on my shoulders and checking everything out. Typically when I would take a snake with me id put them in the pouch of my Hoodie so I could block escape and maintain heat. I don't think there would be any risk to the snake, just don't want to go and then have the guy be like "no way, get that devil spawn away from me!"

Hmmm, dunno why mites didn't occur to me. That's definitely a risk id prefer not to take :/ Well maybe I can convince Alley to not be such a scaredy cat and pose for a pic.

LOL. My only worry would be if another snake had mites that previously got a picture. That's one of the easiest ways to transfer mites into your entire collection without ever realizing it. Well, that and reptile shows when people bring their pets and are holding other snakes and stuff.

Oops, I missed where Santa was going to be set up. I would not take my snake into PetSmart.

Suits will not get switch between animals so if a snake comes in has mites or even eggs on him, your snake can pick that up, not worth the risk to get a picture taken IMO but ultimately it's your snake.

The only way I would do it if I was doing a shoot with Santa is if I was hiring one to come to my house and that is VERY expensive so you better make it count and do a family thing and make sure he is comfortable to do a shoot with animals and snakes in particular.

if you do take ( I personally would not due to the risks and not just mites) your snake or any other reptile. Just know that you would need to follow a quarantine procedure to ensure that you didn't pick something up off a different reptile
