BP won't come out of hide
My BP has been acting pretty strange lately and I'm worried about her. She is only about 2 and a half months old, I've had her for almost that long, and have had no problems up till now.
The last time I handled her was Monday, November 28th in the evening. When i returned her to her tank, she soon after went into her hot side hide and HAS NOT COME OUT SINCE. I don't think it's possible that she's come out while I've been away since I'm only gone for a few hours at a time during the day. She formerly had a very regular routine where she would spend most of the day in either of her hides, then come out and mosey around in the late afternoon/evening for a few hours or so, and then maybe a little more at night.
Since Monday I have not seen her outside of her hide. I lifted it up to check on her on Wednesday night and she was in there, curled up tightly and alive. The closest thing she's done to coming out is that on Wednesday night I gave her a rat and she came out just enough to kill and eat it and then went right back into the hide. She ate it almost immediately after I put it in her tank, so she's eating well.
Her temperatures are good, her humidity is good, she has security. She doesn't seem to show signs of a respiratory infection but I haven't checked thoroughly. The only other abnormality I can think of is that she has not shed since I have had her and it's been almost two months now. What should I do? Should I not be worried? Is there anything I can do to make sure she's ok?
Re: BP won't come out of hide
Cletus is on it. I know my snakes are going into shed when they disappear into their hides for days on end. Give her a day or two and look at her eyes, they'll likely be milky blue.

If it ate that's a good sign. I'm sure it's fine. These snakes love their hides.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I'll keep her humidity up and watch for a shed.
Re: BP won't come out of hide
Mine do this when it gets cold as well. They just tend to slow down when the seasons change. They linger closer to the heating. I keep my bp's in tubs but my corn snake I keep in a tank and I have a dimmed heat bulb in the middle of the cage and he seems to be more active with it on. Just my observations.
Re: BP won't come out of hide
A ball python spending lots of time in their hide sounds nornal to me! Especially if it is nice and toasty in there :) just keep the humidity up and dont worry! Your snake is still young and may just be staying in the place it finds most comfortable/secure.

Try shoving some branches in there if there aren't any already .
They absolutely LOVE climbing !!!
