    Browned Out Axanthic???
I'm thinking about purchasing this sub adult female:

She is being sold as an axanthic het albino. From a newish breeder who doesn't have much of an reputation to vet - so I just thought I would double check here before I sent payment.

thoughts? And as a teaching opportunity to me can you explain why?

    Thanks so much in advance!

Not sure if that's really an axanthic, but they do definitely brown out as they age.

I don't see axanthic either. But the photos are poor quality. Also being a new breeder. I'm always wearing of any recessive genes unless their a visual.

I'm no expert but it looks like a normal to me.

If they are the breeder, can they provide pictures of the parents? Pictures of the snake as a hatchling (something you can use to match up the markings)?

Even if they aren't the breeder, I would ask if they can provide more documentation. A person trying to build they're rep should be keeping good records.

    Thanks everyone!

A health issue has come up with my dog which is getting rather expensive - so unfortunately I will need to hold back on adding to the slither collection for a while, so I have decided to pass on this girl.

But thank you all again. I will now be better prepared when I do start picking up more BPs again :)
