Got a steal on Boaphile cages
I picked up a nice stack of cages today. A guy on Craigslist posted them up for sale. I got a pedestal, 5 - 421 Trilogy's and a 421 Townhouse all for $250
Now I come to the question of what to use for substrate. I use repti-bark and cypress mulch most of the time and when I have it sometimes corncob. What does everyone else use. These are going into my living room and would like them to look good as well as being comfortable for my snakes.

Ive seen people use plain white newspaper & paper towels,i use cypress mulch but have a white snake so i wanna try out the repti-bark for some contrast..she kinda blends lol

I've used aspen for a few years and it works good. My source for local bails has dried up so i'll be switching to ReptiChips once my last 2 bails run out.

Congrats on your great score! :)

My snakes are adults and such my enclosures are large. Cypress mulch performs well and is especially affordable since I use it in quantity.

Thanks everyone. I think I will try and stick with repti-bark and cypress mulch for most of them. Some of the darker colored ones I will use some corncob just so I can see the beauty of the snake easier.

Steal of a pickup! I tend to rotate substrates, on reptichip right now but use aspen, reptibark, cypress/coconut shreds.
