Thermostats: 1 per rack or 1 for a couple
Before long I'm going to be ordering another Herpstat or two. I'm trying to get some breeding action to go on, so if everything works out, I'll be needing and incubator and a baby rack. I'm thinking about using a Herpstat 2 to run both racks and using the current Herpstat 1 to run the incubator. I've also thought about getting another Herpstat 1 for the rack and a basic for the incubator. Both ways are close enough in price with the single Herpstat 2 being a bit cheaper. I've still got time to decide and get ordered. And I've got everything needed for an incubator except the thermostat. And I can have a rack built in a few hours while the eggs incubate.

So what do you all think? The order is going in once classes are over with mid December.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

I have a herpstat 2 and a ve 300 as well as a couple herpstat 1's. If you want to control 2 racks with one unit I'd go with the herpstat 2 as I've had absolutely no problems. There is also a herpstat 4 and a new herpstat 6 that can control 4 and 6 racks from one unit which would be the best bang for your buck. Spyder robotics also has a 10% off deal going on right now.
