    My Printmaking
Just thought I'd share some of my latest printmaking creations.
These are for my intaglio prints (made by etching an image onto glass or copper with a nail, allowing ink to seep into the etched lines, and pressing paper into them, thus creating the printed image). Obviously inspired by my love of snakes.

And then these are my woodblock prints (theyre pretty much wooden stamps carved with gouges and whittlers knives)

Sometimes I think I'm good at drawing then I see something like that :omfg:

I know that isn't drawing or anything even close but the point still stands. Those are insane! I'm seriously impressed.

Thank you so much! I love drawing as well but I'm kind of new to printmaking so that really means a lot. :D

    Those are great!
i remember in college, everyone in the visual arts program worked really hard, but there were 2 rooms that were consistently occupied all night every night: the video lab (my field) and the print-making studio. Funny how the oldest and newest forms of mass media both inspire such obsession.

Thank you! :D The print making studio is always packed in the evenings on my campus too. I'm a graphic design major so I usually work with computers and digital media so working with ancient printmaking techniques is brand new to me. I'm having so much fun with it though.

Good to know there's another printmaker around here! I teach printmaking at the university of Missouri currently. Got my MFA in printmaking from Syracuse University almost 3 years ago. Keep sharing prints! Here's a new mezzotint engraving that I'm working on. An avocado pit that I'm growing in my kitchen.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...3de94c5c4d.jpg this is the copper plate in progress. I'll try to remember to post a pic of the printed impression when it's done
