    BP wont shed
So I've had the bp for about 5 weeks, he's now about 4/5 months old, but he still hasn't shed.
He seems to have grown, but still nothing- has eaten about 4 meals, one mouse every 6/7 days

Could this be because he didn't eat for a couple weeks when he was still getting used to the new enclosure?
Also will handling a snake put him off shedding? Will a stressed snake not shed?

Husbandry is all fine so that's not the issue

Just relax Dumdum. Lmao! Sorry, had to... your snake will shed when it's ready. When they start getting a little older like yours is (juvenile age), they don't shed so frequently. He could have shed just before you bought him. I'm sure he will begin a shed within the next couple of weeks. :)

They'll shed whenever they're ready, no worries! I don't even pay attention to when my snakes shed anymore.

Yep They shed on their own time. Keep humidity and temps right, keep him fed and he will shed.

Could this be because he didn't eat for a couple weeks when he was still getting used to the new enclosure? He's likely just not ready to shed yet, as others have stated. it will happen. Young bp's may go months in between sheds or as little as a couple of weeks, just depending on their growth pattern. Like people, their growth may come in spurts, or just be slow. nothing to be worried about.
Also will handling a snake put him off shedding? Nope. Give him a day or two after eating with no handling and you should be fine.

Will a stressed snake not shed? A stressed snake likely won't eat. If he's eating, he'll shed when he's ready.

Don't worry, I thought my snake was broken since he took so long to shed with me! But he's shed with me twice now and he's at around 50-54 days between sheds. He's a fatty so I know he'll come out of that old skin eventually :) patience is a hard game to play!

. That will be great! In the meantime can you tell us how your enclosure is set up with the temps and humidity and how you are measuring them? The hides you are using and the heat and regulation you are providing? Curious. Any pictures you have of the enclosure will help. Thanks.
