    Fluid from Python's mouth
So, I recently bought a one year Ball Python from a guy online and I noticed a clear fluid dripping from his mouth a couple of days after purchase. Has anyone in this forum experience anything like this.. I will post pics and vids (if possible) later on tonight/tomorrow.

    Sounds like respiratory illness

I agree with Snake Gurl. Def add pics when you can and watch for other signs of RI:

    • Mouth held open while breathing.
    • Unusual wheezes, crackles, or other sounds while breathing.
    • Discharge from the mouth and/or nose.
    • Lethargy.

Loss of appetite and weight loss are other signs, but since you only got him a few days ago, it might be hard to notice that right away. Does the guy you buy from have any health guarantees? I would recommend reaching out to him. I would also schedule an appointment with a vet.

    Everybody calm down!!!

It is very common for a snake to drool after it recently drank water and is then moved or startled. If you have no other signs on an RI and the fluid was clear and water like I bet it had recently drank some water and let a bit come back out. It doesn't seem like an RI to me also because you said the fluid was "dripping." If it is dripping like water is sounds like water. An RI would have more of a mucus like consistency and you would have been seeing other signs before it got to the point of dripping.
